Collaborative learning for collaborative working for global health

Join with us every two years in devising and testing strategies to mobilise concerted action to improve health and wellbeing for individuals, families and communities across the world. ATBH is driven by the conviction, corroborated by evidence, that by learning together we improve working together to effect change, enhance quality of care, ensure safety and optimise deployment of human resources.

Practitioner, service user, teacher, manager, policy maker or researcher, each conference is your opportunity to compare perspectives, exchange experience and share expertise. The first ATBH conference was held in London UK in 1997 and the most recent eighth biennial conference was attended by over 800 delegates in Pittsburgh USA in June 2014.

The conference series is now coordinated by the World Coordinating Committee (WCC), a group established in 2013 to represent networks across the world sharing the same values in interprofessional education and practice.  We welcome interest in joining us from other networks sharing these values

Forthcoming conferences will be held in:

  • 2016 in Oxford, UK, on Values-based Interprofessional Practice hosted by the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University on with CAIPE led by Richard Gray and Ed Peile.
  • 2018 in Auckland, New Zealand, hosted by Auckland University of Technology with the New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators and AIPPEN led by Marion Jones and Kirk Reed.
